About “No Worries Whale”

No Worries Whale is a whimsical poetry book that educates readers about the importance of the ocean, life lessons and conservation concepts such as recycling. The illustrations are in color, and the poetry itself takes what can be an incredibly hard subject and breaks it down in simpler terms to enhance children’s understanding of the Ocean. The poems take fun facts about different ocean-dwellers and presents them in a sometimes serious and sometimes nonsensical style that will entertain children and their parents while educating them on the different species with which we share our planet.

This book is the perfect addition to the book shelves for everyone aged 1 to 100.

About the Author:

Amanda Gehrke is an inspired activist and a poet. No Worries Whale is her first collection of what she hopes to be a long list of conservation-based poetry. Living in Omaha, Nebraska places her about as far from the Oceans as physically possible within the United States, but that only motivated her further into writing poems to educate children, such as her own two daughters, about the importance of protecting the Oceans, no matter how close or far away they may be. When she isn’t writing or enjoying her family, she can be found haunting local bookshops and attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha in pursuit of a Bachelors of Science in Education and a Masters in Library Science.
